As for me personally, I’ve had a love of reading from a young age. I remember spending time at my grandparents' cottage when I was a kid. My two brothers would be out playing by the lake and I would be curled up on the couch, nestled under a blanket reading my book, oblivious to the world outside. Nothing has changed.
In my free time, I love hiking, camping with my family, playing and watching basketball (Go Raptors!), and baking. When I’m feeling a little lazy, I like to sit in front of the fire with my crossword puzzle and a big mug of coffee.

My name is Anne Marie Twiselton and being an editor is my dream job. I've always loved a good story and I’m an unapologetic grammar nerd. Just ask my kids . . .
I like to work with people who care about writing and who care about communicating their ideas, emotions, and stories to the world. I have my Master of Social Work degree, and I have worked as a social worker for many years helping people navigate through things like family discord, chronic illness, grief, trauma, and other sensitive topics. I’ve assisted many people in understanding and expressing difficult emotions. I’ve always been interested in helping people communicate only now my interest lies in helping people do this through their writing.
I stand by many social work values in my work as an editor and I believe in mutual respect, individuality, and honesty. Memoir editing is an area where I believe my therapeutic skills give me an extra edge in helping people tell their personal stories. I want to connect with people and help them communicate their stories, and I strive to do this in a constructive and encouraging way.
I’ve chosen a career in editing because I am passionate about it. I will always combine this passion with my educational background, my work experience in the health care field, and my professionalism. I feel that forming a relationship with you is an important part of the partnership, so I can truly know what your goals are and support them to the best of my ability.
